Salvatore Provenza is an independent court-appointed receiver specializing in real estate receiverships. With over 20 years of hands-on real estate management experience, Mr. Provenza has the experience and expertise to oversee a variety of property types including retail, office, industrial self-storage, mobile home / RV parks, multifamily, residential housing developments. While each assignment and asset require an asset-specific approach, he can implement strategies for asset recovery, leasing, sales and marketing, construction, finance, management, land use approvals and other real property affairs. Mr. Provenza leverages existing relationships within the real estate industry to execute the plan efficiently and effectively. He has a hard-won reputation for honesty, integrity, intelligence and fairness.
As a bonded professional receiver, Mr. Provenza is qualified to be appointed to manage assets under in judicial and non-judicial receivership when conditions in the deed of trust or assignment of rents have not been satisfied and circumstances arise that threaten the creditor’s secured position. His duties as a pendente lite receiver focus on preserving and protecting the collateral, managing income-producing assets, selling real property, collecting accounts receivable or otherwise carrying-out the will of the court.
In addition to serving as a receiver when the need arises, Mr. Provenza founded of CWP Advisors in 2008, a real estate asset receivership and resolutions firm, and serves as Managing Director of WD Land, a highly specialized land advisory firm. Mr. Provenza started his long career as an Architectural Associate at two architecture and planning firms and a nine-year tenure working as an executive for a publicly held Fortune 500 real estate development firm.

Mr. Provenza is an active member is several non-profit organizations including the California Receivers Forum, the Urban Land Institute and Building Block Foundation Fund, a charity dedicated to at-risk youth and supported by the commercial real estate industry. The California Receivers Forum is dedicated to serving the receivership community and civil courts. He is a mentor to several young professionals in ULI’s Mentorship Program. He has led Building Block as its Chairman since 2009 helping to raise over $2 million for local at-risk youth. In addition, Mr. Provenza is a part-time lecturer teaching finance and real estate courses at California State University Fullerton’s Mihaylo College of Business and Economics.
